Born and bred in South London, Max Cyrus starts off by launching his Music Label in 2015, Max Cyrus Music.

In 2016, Max Cyrus Music is commissioned to produce ‘Untitled’, featuring Rodney P and Lanre Sulola.

It features on a BBC 4 documentary ‘The Hip Hop World News’. The single is written and produced by Max Cyrus at Metropolis Studios alongside liam Nolan (X2 Grammy Award winning engineer for Adele, Sam Smith and Stormzy’s VOSSI BOP).

The single is selected for World Record Store Day the following year. Max Cyrus goes on to compose music for Simon Fredrick’s ‘Black Is The New Black’ aired on BBC2.

In 2017 Max Cyrus collaborated with Ceni Lou & Pax (international choreographers) for Breakin’ Convention, creating a mesmerising theatre piece titled ‘HANNAH.’

The piece portrays erased stories of women who have achieved significant milestones in history but have never been brought to light. This is performed at Sadler’s Wells Theatre.

In 2019, Max Cyrus composes music for Blue Monday for Hector Plaza and Agnes Sales (Dance crew from Spain). The work is signed by a film producer, Andy Margetson for a short film. Blue Monday goes on to be officially selected for 2020 ScreenDance Festival in Stockholm, Sweden, where it will have it’s International Premiere. It is also selected for the Richmond Dance Festival in Virginia, USA.

In 2020 Max Cyrus composes for USA documentary ‘Uprooted: The Journey of Jazz Dance’ Following this, Max Cyrus produces music for Mo Gilligan’s ‘Black British & Funny’ for Channel 4.

On the 22nd October 2020 Max Cyrus co-writes and narrates the Stephen Lawrence Day Foundation short film ‘Never Forget Stephen Lawrence’ marking six months until Stephen Lawrence Day on the 22nd April 2021.

Max Cyrus performs at GQ Men of the Year 2021 hosted by Idris & Sabrina Elba.

Currently, Max Cyrus is working on future projects and following the release of his debut EP The Uprise.
