In March 2024, Drifting Sun released their 8th album, Veil, following their triumphant ‘Forsaken Innocence’ released in 2021. By this stage, the current and settled line-up had performed at the well-respected Fusion and Prog For Peart Festivals in 2023/2024, and various other festivals and other appearances throughout Europe.

This release, for the first time on the vinyl format, is exceptional. Described by The Progressive Aspect as “a conceptually complex album, exploring such existential challenges as sin and betrayal, dementia and insanity and the ravages of old age”, this is truly a progressive rock tour-de-force. Very keyboard-centric, this album is chock full of theatrical drama with tenuous comparisons to early Marillion, but with a sound that is uniquely Drifting Sun. But there is a tender side to it as well. No end of layered keyboards, a full range of acoustic and electric guitars, thunderous bass lines and expressive vocals throughout.

This will be a very limited vinyl run in a colour to complement the sleeve and will be provided with a lyric insert sheet. Priced very competitively to attract buyers to advance purchase now, the price will no doubt increase after production.
